Flexible and Purposeful

On its press conference, BMW left audience members in awe with their unveiling of the Concept 4 – a glimpse into the future of BMW design.

The highlight of the press conference opened by CEO Oliver Zipse were the new releases (isn’t that always the case?). This year BMW unveiled their Concept 4 vehicle and the BMW Vision iNext. The sporty and luxurious car embodies all that is yet to come of the brand. In prime red it drove onto centre stage for its debut to audience members, which was the show stealer for all other new releases on the press conference. “The BMW Concept 4 provides a look at the expressive face of the new 4 Series,” explains Domagoj Dukec, head of design at BMW.

When it comes to electrified cars, BMW is the market leader in Germany for new all electric or plug-in hybrid drive system car registrations – making them one of the most successful established premium brands on a European and global level. At the IAA this year, BMW’s impressive offering of fully electric/plug-in hybrid builds, were on display for booth-goers to test out. Amongst them, the BMW Vision iNext vehicle.
